Primal Wear, a maker of cycling apparel, signed a 5-year sponsorship agreement with organizers of the Sea Otter Classic to be the events' official cycling and staff apparel provider.
“Primal Wear has a fun alternative brand image that fits with the Sea Otter Classic,” said Frank Yohannan, Sea Otter Classic president and CEO. “They have the design sense we need to brand our event with some great looking clothing and quality products festival participants will like using.”
Under the agreement, Primal Wear will design and provide downhill/freeride, XC, and road cycling apparel, as well as the leaders jerseys for all race categories. In addition, Primal Wear will provide design services for all Sea Otter clothing pieces, such as t-shirts, vests, hats, etc.
“The Sea Otter Classic is an amazing cycling festival,” said Dave Edwards, Primal Wear founder and CEO. “It's an all inclusive event that reaches a broad range of cycling disciplines. It also caters to casual cyclists and spectators as well. It's a perfect partnership for us to reach a diverse group of cyclists and to help the Sea Otter Classic brand their event with some great looking technical clothing.”
The 21st edition of the Sea Otter Classic will be held April 14-17, 2011 at the Laguna Seca Recreation Area near Monterey, CA.
