Westwood, MA, September 4, 2019 –  Designed for those who live life on the water, XTRATUF expands its collection of footwear in collaboration with the Salmon Sisters for Spring 2020 with a new Legacy Boot design and three new 6” Ankle Deck Boot designs.

The Salmon Sisters is a seafood and design company based in Alaska, deeply influenced by the wilderness of Alaska and the sustainable fisheries of the North Pacific. Founded in 2012 by two Alaskan fishermen sisters, Emma Laukitis and Claire Neaton, Salmon Sisters products are designed in Alaska, inspired by nautical tradition, and made for a community of fishermen, adventurers, and ocean enthusiasts.

“XTRATUF boots are built to deliver on the essential needs of commercial fishermen in Alaska’s demanding Bering Sea and are proudly worn on and off the water, embodying the true spirit of Alaskan fishermen,” said Dave Mesicek, CMO at XTRATUF. “Our Salmon Sisters prints for women add an element of personal style that has continued to be incredibly popular with our XTRATUF customers everywhere.”

For Spring 2020, the popular Ankle Deck Boot and heritage Legacy Boot for women feature new and original prints designed by the Salmon Sisters.

XTRATUF’s 6” Ankle Deck Boot (MSRP: $100), the popular slip-resistant, low-cut, deck boot, will be available in Yellow with Celestial Sea Print, Light Blue with Mermaid Life Print, and White with Octopus Print.

The women’s Legacy Boot offers flexible, all-day comfort and superior protection against the broadest range of acids, corrosives and contaminants. This boot is designed specifically for a woman’s fit. New for Spring 2020, the Salmon Sisters 15” Legacy Boot (MSRP: $140) will be available with Mermaid Life Print.

“We are inspired by creatures from the deep – whether they provide us with good food or good stories, whether real or imagined. Fishermen, sailors and coastal residents around the world have told tales of mermaids for thousands of years, and our designs for the 2020 Salmon Sisters XTRATUF boots come alive with depictions of our sisters of the sea,” said Emma Laukitis.

The 2020 XTRATUF x Salmon Sisters Collection will be available in early spring 2020 at xtratuf.com.
