For Fall 2021 TerraTrike introduces its e-assist trike, the E.V.O.
The equipment takes advantage of a fourth-generation Bosch Performance Line Cruise motor, which produces nearly 50 percent more torque than previous e-trike models. A full-color Kiox display, paired with a Bosch PowerPack 400Wh battery, rounds out the e-assist package, which is mated to a 10-speed drivetrain.
The E.V.O. features an upgraded cro-moly steel frameset, shared with TerraTrike’s touring model, the Gran Tourismo.
“You get loads of extra torque from this updated Bosch motor, which really makes a difference when it comes to longer hill climbs where riders might start to fatigue,” said TerraTrike Sales and Marketing Director Marshall Randall. “The upgraded frameset offers improved power transfer to harness all that extra wattage this motor cranks out.”
The new frameset integrates with TerraTrike’s Storage Solutions line of trike-specific racks, bags and panniers for trikepacking.
The E.V.O. comes standard with a 24-inch wheel. Rapid Axels, similar to the thru-axels on modern bicycles, allows for easy removal of the front wheels while increasing strength and rigidity for more responsive steering and braking.
