Sheboygan, WI, February 11, 2020 SynchroKnit™, the technology-driven brand from the sock innovators at Wigwam Mills Inc., announces it will celebrate the launch of SynchroKnit contour fit, no-slip running socks, by sponsoring Zooma, the weekend get-away race event series for women. The SynchroKnit groundbreaking technology results in less bulk, an unrivaled precision, non-slip fit and was launched in the run category because runners, in particular, demand precision fit from their shoes.

The Zooma Women’s Race Series produces destination races in beautiful locations including Bermuda, Texas Lost Pines, Cape Cod, Amelia Island and the Texas Wine Country. The weekend events offer a full itinerary of fun, expos and recovery options, in addition to the signature races of varying lengths. Zooma President & Chief Inspiration Officer, Sarah Ratzlaff explains, “Zooma races are known for fostering a very inclusive atmosphere. The attendees are of all types of women seeking to achieve athletic and personal goals and they support each other while doing so. They leave feeling great, with new dedication and a refreshed attitude, taking their newly found confidence and knowledge back home after achieving goals and enjoying a bit of pampering.”

“We love the idea of supporting women-specific events and the Zooma Race Series creates such a powerful environment that is rich with personal connections we couldn’t be happier to be the sock sponsor. The attendees will each have the opportunity to try our new SynchroKnit socks in training or in a race, and they will experience how the SynchroKnit fit is dramatically different from other socks,” says Brad Bates, VP of marketing and sales at Wigwam.

All five events are still open for registration at Zoomarun.com

  • Bermuda – Half, 10K, 2mile and the Bermuda Challange – February 15-16, 2020 (registration is now closed)
  • Texas Lost Pines – Half, 10L, 5K and the Lost Pines Challenge – March 7-8, 2020
  • Cape Cod – Half, 10K, 1 Mile and the Cape Cod Challenge – September 26-27, 2020
  • Amelia Island – Half, 5K and the Seaside Challenge – October 17-18, 2020
  • Texas Wine Country – Half, 10K, 5K and the Wine Country Challenge – November 7-8, 2020

Bates expands about how SynchroKnit construction is different. “Up until now, all socks have been knit with an equal number of stitches from top to toe, using stretch fibers to adjust the fit. The new technology strategically eliminates excess fabric in various areas of the sock, so bulk is reduced in the ankle and arch/instep area. With a consistent layer of fabric between the shoe and the foot, an athlete has improved feel, more precise control and socks that don’t slip.”

The SynchroKnit running sock collection is launching with five styles: the Catalyst UltraLight Low, the Surpass UltraLight Low and the Surpass Lightweight Low, Quarter and Mid Crew.  They are now available online at SynchroKnit.com and through specialty retailers including REI and MEC. The Zooma race series is part of a greater list of 2020 runs, both road and trail, which will also be sponsored by SychnroKnit by Wigwam.  The brand will soon be announcing the entire list.
