Portland, Oregon (February 25, 2025) – Smith is excited to announce today the addition of angler, Wesley Locke, to its roster of stellar fishing ambassadors.
Born and raised near the Florida saltwater of Boca Grande, Wesley grew up in a family of anglers, all obsessed for landing tarpon and spending time together on the ocean. Her passion and hobby quickly evolved into a career pursuit following her first Ladies Fly Tarpon Tournament in 2019. Wesley currently resides in the Florida Keys where she’s honing her craft in sight and saltwater fly fishing, continuing to compete in tournaments, and serving as a tournament director for fishing events across the sport.
Wesley’s excitement for joining the Smith team, alongside friends and athletes she admires, is evident in her infectious smile and ambitious drive. “In saltwater fly fishing, anglers are only as good as our guides and what we can see. Sharp lens tech you can count on is essential in this sport. I’m looking forward to fishing tarpon season with the Smith arsenal of lenses on the boat so I can be prepared for the box of chocolates that is tournament weather,” she comment.
