Outdoor Vitals, the Utah-based performance outdoor apparel and gear brand, released its KotaUL adventure backpack featuring water-resistant ripstop fabric with an “intelligent frame design.”

“With the KotaUL, we set out to make a pack that meets the needs of travelers and adventures alike,” said Tayson Whittaker, founder, Outdoor Vitals. “Our background in designing packs for backpacking allowed us to create an ultralight pack that can travel as well in the airport terminal as it does in the wilderness. Thanks to our special Spectra ripstop fabric, we saved an incredible amount of weight while retaining durability and strength. We added a 22-inch frame to transfer the load from your shoulders to your hips for ultimate comfort all day long.”

The 45-liter pack, weighing 2lbs 13oz., features an internal compression system, a wide padded hip belt and contoured shoulder straps. The modular design allows the user to remove the frame and detach or adjust the hip belt. A raised and padded laptop sleeve protects a computer. Multiple zipper pulls access the pack without unloading contents, while various volumized pockets provide numerous storage options.
