Ignik, maker of high quality, environmentally thoughtful heating products for the outdoors, is proud to announce its partnership with Darby Communications. The sustainability-focused startup is utilizing Darby Communications’ public relations expertise to launch its flagship product, the Gas Growler.

Ignik was founded by outdoor industry veteran Graeme Esarey during a sailing trip through the Canadian Arctic with his family. Seeing the impact of climate change firsthand, along with the waste created by people working and recreating in that environment, inspired Esarey to act. He brought on former colleague and product development expert Peter Pontano, and the pair got to work developing sustainable alternatives to many single-use heating products on the market.

“Ignik was created to foster the ideals that outdoor companies should be built around doing good for the planet, doing good for its people, and doing good by making products that solve problems,” says Peter Pontano, Ignik’s Director of Marketing and Product Development. “We are excited to team up with Darby Communications to help spread the word about what we can all be doing to help fight climate change (especially in the Arctic and other cold places) and together work to ‘Be the Change.’”

“We’ve always admired Graeme and Peter’s business ethics and their approach to engineering sustainable, purposeful products,” states agency founder, Coral Darby. “The Darby Comm team is ecstatic to represent an emerging brand developed to create positive, impactful change within the marketplace.”
