Icebreakers limited-edition collaboration with Japanese technical apparel brand Goldwin includes jackets, pants, tops, and accessories, which combine “Japanese simplicity and elegance with the natural performance of New Zealand merino in gender-neutral layers and shapes.”
Goldwin, a technical apparel brand focused on ski, lifestyle and activewear, has had a long relationship with Icebreaker. When Goldwin’s design team and Icebreaker founder Jeremy Moon visited Lake Heron Station together in 2018, the idea for a capsule collection was formed.
“This collection represents a collaboration of cultures and a celebration of design. The result of a long partnership between Japanese apparel house Goldwin and Icebreaker and a mutual seduction of the Southern Alps and vibrant city cultures,” said Goh Hirokazu, designer, Goldwin.
Highlights from the collab incoration include: Icebreaker’s new 15.5 microns, an extra ultrafine merino fiber, found in the long sleeve top; and the Longline Coat made from 100 percent merino wool and featuring a MerinoLoft inner fill with 100 percent merino woven lining.
