The House of Dior entered into a partnership with Mystery Ranch to create a collection of backpacks and bags for its menswear summer 23 collection.
Available on February 16 exclusively in Dior retail locations worldwide and on Dior.com, Kim Jones, Dior’s artistic director for men, worked with Mystery Ranch’s design team “to bring authentic outdoor design and functionality to the men’s summer collection.”
“This collaboration is a testament to two companies that care deeply about their crafts and the communities they serve,” said Dana Gleason, founder, Mystery Ranch. “Working with companies like Dior is the ultimate recognition that we are doing what we set out to do—to design and build great packs and bags specific to the mission.”
Tthe bag collection is built around Mystery Ranch’s Gallagator with a detachable, water-repellent hooded cover. The bags 3-zip, created by Gleason in 2005 to quickly access gear while backcountry skiing, is a brand signature.
The Dior x Mystery Ranch collection features the Gallagator backpack, Saddle Bag, Belt Pouch, also a 3-zip design, Wallet, and Tactical Belt, in two colors, featuring a Cordura re/cor fabric that is recycled and embroidered with a leather crest merging the logos of both brands.
The Saddle Bag includes a double-zipped compartment with a nylon jacquard shoulder strap, an additional strap for attaching accessories, an aluminum CD buckle, and a second, technical one that closes the flap.
