Northfield, VT, October 31, 2019 – Just in time for opening day at mountains across the US, Darn Tough Vermont, the fastest-growing American manufacturer of premium performance outdoor and lifestyle socks, is adding big-mountain skier Michelle Parker and snowboarder Jake Blauvelt to the brand’s athlete team. These highly respected and accomplished professionals bring their unique talents and perspectives to the sock maker as winter begins and Darn Tough’s 2019 Snow collection appears online and in-store.

One of the most decorated female big-mountain skiers, Parker hails from Truckee, California and calls Squaw Valley her home mountain. Parker has won the “Best Female Performance Award” for Matchstick Productions’ Drop Everything and has co-produced the Red Bull’s Originate, garnering over 2 million views and making it one of Red Bull’s most successful web series to date.

Blauvelt is a highly-respected and accomplished pro snowboarder with a career spanning 16 years, constantly captivating audiences with his smooth, creative, effortless riding style. A longtime fan of Darn Tough, the Vermont-born-and-raised Blauvelt has been wearing the Vermont-made socks since he can remember.

“Partnering with athletes of Jake and Michelle’s caliber brings new and fresh expertise to our team,” says Brooke Kaplan, Darn Tough Vermont Director of Marketing.  “With their depth of experience in a variety of conditions, our mission to make the world’s best sock will be elevated as we add their insights to the design and production of our Snow collection. Both Michelle and Jake mirror our high standards and core values both on and off the snow, making them a phenomenal fit for the Darn Tough athlete team.”
