Costa Sunglasses has introduced Costa Clear single vision and progressive optical lenses for everyday wear. The collection features three single vision (Essential, Waypoint, Waypoint Plus) and four progressive lens (Base, Essential, C-Scape, C-Scape Plus) options for a tiered approach.

Premium options in the single vision and progressive lens categories use Costa Waypoint digital surfacing technology, enhancing the field of vision by eliminating peripheral blur associated with high wrap glasses for visual clarity no matter which direction the wearer looks.

Premium lenses in the progressive category feature Costa C-Scape technology. Developed by sportfishing pros and lens designers, the technology offers immediate adaptation and enhanced viewing fields for the watermen.

“Costa’s are made for the anglers, soul surfers and explorers who have inspired us since day one. Now we can provide the same optical clarity that everyone has come to love from Costa in a complete pair of optical frames,” said Jessica Bryant, senior product marketing manager, Costa. “We’ve paired our best in lens optics with a deeper selection of Rx designs and technologies, creating the perfect pair of glasses for packing your gear in the dark of morning, reading a novel on a flight to your next adventure or plotting the next day’s course on a map at night.”

Similar to Costa’s sunglass lenses, all Costa Clear lenses are etched with the Costa logo for authenticity and include advanced coating methods. Lens are hydrophobic [water resistant], oleophobic [smudge and oil resistant], scratch-resistant, anti-static, and made to reduce inner and outer glare to protect lens integrity on and off the water. Clear lenses are sold in Costa’s optical frames and eight new styles.

Taking inspiration from the brand’s PRO series of sunglasses, additions to the Ocean Ridge collection are manufactured from a double injected bio-resin featuring an adjustable and ventilated nose pad for comfort, eyewire drains to manage sweat and Hydrolite grips, and keeper ready temples to keep frames locked in place.
