The foundation of the AlpaLite line is 80 percent alpaca, a sustainable natural fiber proven to be stronger, softer, and warmer than merino wool. Alpaca’s natural breathability ensures comfort in various climates, while its superior moisture absorption and quick-drying properties make it
ideal for high intensity activities. By blending this powerhouse fiber with 20 percent recycled nylon, Appalachian Gear Company has created its most technically advanced layers to date, adding even greater stretch, durability, and softness to an already extraordinary material. AlpaLite apparel is highly durable, naturally antimicrobial and odor resistant, lightweight, and machine washable.
