Adidas and Prada announced a forward-move to their existing collaboration, adding a clothing collection focused on sustainability using the Italian luxury label’s Re-Nylon material.

Scheduled to Launch on January 13, Adidas x Prada said the collection “reimagines luxury sportswear through a more sustainable lens.” The Made In Italy collection also includes bags.

An “infinitely recyclable” fabric, Prada debuted Re-Nylon in 2019. The material is created using recycled plastic waste pulled from the oceans and from deadstock to be “purified and recycled indefinitely, with no loss of quality.”

The companies said that the “celebration of Prada Re-Nylon through the Adidas for Prada collection underscores a landmark—the shift of the entire Prada production from virgin nylon to Re-Nylon, achieved by the end of 2021.”

Fans of the collection will be “invited to participate in the metaverse with Adidas and Prada through open-source co-creation.”

The black and white striped fabric created for the collection was made into a track coat, tracksuit, sweater, hooded jacket, bucket hat, and bag and includes Prada’s enameled triangle logo.
