PPR, the parent of Puma, announced an enlargement of the scope of responsibilities entrusted to Group Managing Director Jean-François Palus who will from now on dedicate his time fully to implementing the Group’s strategic, operational and organizational orientations.

This shift is integral to the rollout of the PPR strategy initiated and overseen by Chairman & CEO François-Henri Pinault. It will shore up the transformation of PPR into a more integrated group, and will among other enable Jean-François Palus to devote more resources to the various processes of expansion, support and coordination of the Group's brands.

Accordingly, the duties of the Finance Division, held until now by Jean-François Palus, will be delegated to Jean-Marc Duplaix who joined PPR as chief financial officer, reporting directly to the group managing director.

Jean-Marc Duplaix previously held the position of Deputy CFO at M6 Group. He will take over his duties at PPR on 30 January 2012.

PPR Chairman & CEO François-Henri Pinault stated: “In the context of our transformation strategy, the duties of PPR Group Managing Director Jean-François Palus will be extended to support the Group’s expansion, backed in particular by a streamlined and bolstered Corporate organisation serving our brands. In order to devote more time to this mission, Jean-François will be delegating the financial duties he held until now to Jean-Marc Duplaix whom I have the great pleasure of welcoming to the position of PPR’s Chief Financial Officer. With the backing of Jean-François, Jean-Marc will contribute his expertise and experience to the benefit of our Group’s growth and success.”

Jean-Marc Duplaix, 41, is a graduate of HEC and holds a DESCF Degree in Accounting & Finance. He began his career at Arthur Andersen as Project Coordinator and later Director from 1994 to 2004, where he conducted statutory auditing and financial consulting missions on behalf of CAC40-listed industrial groups.
