Power Plate, the fitness equipment maker, has added Justin Morneau and Dustin Pedroia, the 2006 and 2008 American League
MVP’s, to its lineup of endorsers.

“Using the Power Plate has really improved my overall strength and conditioning. I use it to help stretch and get loose before games so I can make use of my maximum reach,” said Morneau, first baseman for the Minnesota Twins and 2006 American League Most Valuable Player. “Ive found that it has significantly helped my core balance and stability which is critical for my batting and it was a big part of back rehab in the offseason.”

Added Dustin Pedroia of the Boston Red Sox, “The Power Plate is a huge part of my workout. I do a lot of stretching on it and it’s terrific for improving core strength. The Power Plate keeps my core in great shape so I can keep my body balanced, hit well and play solid defense so our team can do well.” Pedroia, second baseman for the Boston Red Sox, was the 2008 Gold Glove and Silver Slugger awards winner.

“Adding Dustin and Justin to our increasing roster of elite, world class athletes and teams further demonstrates the effectiveness of Power Plate as a core element in helping players at the top of their game maintain their competitive edge,” commented Mark de Gorter, President of Power plate North America. “As we kick off the 2010 baseball season, were finding more and more major league players and teams turning to Power Plate as the solution to provide fast, full-body training to keep their athletes strong and flexible.”
