Polygiene, a specialist in odor control and freshness technologies, announced two international partners to manage distribution in Turkey and India. Additionally, Polygiene appointed Ulrika Bjork as its new chief financial officer (CFO) and promoted North American marketing director, Colleen Nipkow, as its global marketing director.
Polygiene signed agreements with Istanbul-based textile company Albajer Ltd and multinational Sarex as its respective distributors for Turkey and India.
“The Turkish textile industry has been experiencing massive growth, and Albajer is poised to help Polygiene make inroads into the market,” stated Polygiene’s technical director, Paul Middleton. “And with Sarex as our new distributor for India and neighboring countries, we now have a local distribution network and technical team in place to serve the needs of our partners.”
Ulrika Björk has been appointed new CFO of Polygiene AB. Ulrika has extensive experience from executive positions, most recently as CFO for Hemmakväll AB. Prior to that, she has held various positions within finance and accounting at companies such as global furniture retailer IKEA and the Kemira Group, a global chemicals company.
Colleen Nipkow, formerly serving as Polygiene’s marketing director for North America, was promoted to global marketing director for the brand. Nipkow will oversee global marketing efforts for Polygiene including strategy, web, branding, consumer and trade promotions, advertising and digital marketing.
“With her solid background in financial monitoring, reporting and experience with international transactions, Ulrika will not only provide huge value to us in the traditional role as CFO, but also with activities related to Polygiene’s investor relations,” explained Christian von Uthmann, CEO of Polygiene. “And Colleen’s extensive marketing background with brands like Black Diamond Equipment, Gregory, Scarpa and formerly as our North American marketing director, will be a professional force for Polygiene as we continue to grow.”
