Point6, the manufacturer of wool socks, plans to appoint Bill Post as its new president, effective March 1, 2010. Post most recently served as president and CEO of Nordica Apparel, and also served as president for Sport Obermeyer in Colorado.

Additionally,
he served as vice president with Benetton Sportsystem USA in New
Jersey, where he led the company to numerous financial increases in a
compressed marketplace.

“Our mission and vision for point6 is to create spectacular products and increased profitability for our retail partners,” said Peter Duke, point6 founder. “Bill Post has a knack for successfully launching start-up apparel brands to the next level through the implementation of long-term strategies. His talents will help streamline business operations and enable our team to focus and expand their areas of expertise.”

Post said he recognizes the strong potential for point6 to establish the next generation of performance merino products.

“point6 is well positioned to launch their market and brand position to an even higher level within the merino wool category,” Post said. “With state of the art designs, perfected anatomical fit, advanced knitting and spinning techniques and a flexible, innovative retail partner program, point6 has a very strong platform for success and continued growth.”

“I am excited to work with such a dynamic team and to establish this brand as a major player in the industry,” Post said.
