Playtri, the triathlon-focused retail chain, announced it has purchased Buc’s Bike Shop in Round Rock, TX.
Buc’s Bike Shop has operated in the Austin area for over 30 years with products and support for the biking community. With the purchase of Elite Bicycles in Tyler, TX in August of 2021 and the new Austin area location, Playtri continues its expansion across Texas with a goal to open an additional three Texas stores in the next fifteen months.
“We continue to focus our growth across the country by purchasing and franchising stores. With our base of operations in Dallas, our strong Texas following and the continued population growth, expansion in Texas is a strategic opportunity for us.” said Staci Brode, president of marketing and finance, Playtri Franchising LLC.
Playtri owns and operates 15 retail locations in six states under the Playtri and Endurance House powered by Playtri name. Playtri is the Official Triathlon Store of the Ironman North America series, the Official Triathlon Store of USA Triathlon and the Official Retail Partner of the PTO US Open Triathlon.
