Winmark Corporation, parent of Play it Again Sports, reported that revenues for the year ended December 28, 2024, were $81.3 million, down from $83.2 million in 2023.
Fourth-quarter revenue declined 2.5 percent to $19.5 billion in 2024, compared to $20.0 million in 2023.
Net income for fiscal 2024 amounted to $40.0 million, or $10.89 per diluted share, compared to net income of $40.2 million, or $11.04 per share diluted in 2023.
Fourth quarter 2024 net income was $9.6 million, or $2.60 per diluted share, compared to net income of $9.7 million, or $2.64 per diluted share in Q4 2023.
The company said its decision in May 2021 to run off its leasing portfolio impacted 2024 results.
Winmark is one of the original consumer goods resale companies with the trademarked Winmark – the Resale Company®. The company also owns and franchises Plato’s Closet, Once Upon A Child, Style Encore, and Music Go Round.
The company had 1,350 operating franchises at year-end and over 2,800 available territories. An additional 79 franchises have been awarded but are not open.
