Planet Fitness said it has become the first fitness brand to achieve the WELL Health-Safety Rating for Facility Operations and Management by the International WELL Building Institute (IWBI).
The rating recognizes Planet Fitness’ leadership in “ensuring a safer and healthier environment for its employees and members across all of its clubs as well as its headquarters in Hampton, NH.”
The WELL Health-Safety Rating is a third-party verified rating for all new and existing building and space types, “advancing human health and well-being through science-backed policies and procedures. Areas graded include holistic aspects of health from the improved airflow, hygienic handwashing practices, reduction in hand contact of high-touch surfaces, effective cleaning protocols, and robust emergency preparedness and response.”
The WELL Health-Safety seal will be displayed at Planet Fitness locations.
