PGA Tour Superstore will open its first interactive retail store in the Houston metro area of Woodlands, TX on November 12. The 45,500-square-foot location at the Portofino Shopping Center was formerly occupied by Sports Authority at 19075 Interstate 45 N.

The PGA Tour Superstore will be staffed with PGA of America teaching professionals and feature 11 swing simulators and hitting bays, an expansive putting green and an in-house club-making and repair facility.

The location is the company’s fourth in Texas joining Plano – Accent Drive, Plano – Preston Rd, and SouthlakeThe grand opening celebration on November 12 includes $30,000 in product giveaways to the first customers in line and a $15,000 donation to The First Tee of Greater Houston.

“Houston is a premier market for golfers and tennis players, and the Woodlands is an ideal location to introduce what we believe is the best experience in golf retail,” said PGA Tour Superstore President and CEO Dick Sullivan. “Despite some other golf retailers that have closed stores this year, our brand is redefining “the experience” and continues to expand into new markets across the country. We are bullish and remain focused on delivering an unparalleled retail experience with huge product assortments for golf and tennis and passionate people who continue to allow us to grow.”

In addition to the new Houston location, PGA Tour Superstore recently stated it will open three new stores in 2017. The company acquired another Sports Authority location in Glendale, AZ and will also add locations in Hilton Head, SC and Jacksonville, FL, also slated to open next year.

“Our experiential model serves golfers of all abilities from those just beginning to learn the game to avid low-handicappers,” Sullivan said.  “We couldn’t be more optimistic about our future and we will continue to focus on inspiring our customers to love the game as much as we do.”
