Boulder, CO-based PeopleForBikes Coalition has elected two members to the company’s board of directors: Jennifer Harned, president and general manager of Bell + Giro and Justin Gottlieb, vice president of Interbike.
Harned leads the Bell, Giro, Blackburn, Raskullz and Krash businesses for Vista Outdoor. Gottlieb is the vice president of Interbike and group show director at Emerald Expositions.
Harned has worked in the cycling industry since she joined Easton-Bell Sports in 2007. She previously held progressive positions at Deloitte & Touche, Guitar Center and THQ.
“I am excited to join with PFB to ensure more public access and to help build better bike infrastructure,” Harned said. “We’re passionate about the ride, and I know that PFB can help drive policies that support healthy living, thriving communities and stronger businesses.”
Gottlieb’s vast experience in the bike industry not only includes more than six years at Interbike (where he started in 2012 as director of communications and public relations) but also four years as a top sales manager for American Bicycle Group, which then included Litespeed, Quintana Roo and Merlin.
“Interbike and PFB have maintained a mutually beneficial partnership for more than a decade,” Gottlieb said. “PFB’s work makes bicycling better for everyone and is crucial to the future of the industry. I truly look forward to joining the board.”
The PeopleForBikes Coalition board now includes 17 bicycle industry leaders. Quality Bicycle Products founder Steve Flagg is the current board chair. The group’s next face-to-face meeting is November 28 in Boulder, CO.
