Peloton, the cycling studio specialist, secured a Guinness World Records title for the largest live cycling class, with over 10,000 riders pedaling together toward this goal.

Robin Arzon, VP, fitness programming and head instructor, Peloton, led the annual Turkey Burn Ride, which year after year continues to be one of the most popular rides.

“There is nothing stronger, physically or mentally, than the Peloton community,” said Peloton founder and CEO John Foley. “Whenever the community gets together, whether they ride live from their bike, the Peloton app, or join us in our NYC flagship studio, their collective passion, motivation and goal orientation compounds. Today, the Peloton community accomplished something unprecedented, and with recognition from Guinness World Records, we are proud to be able to celebrate this milestone wide.”

“Leading Peloton’s annual Turkey Burn Ride is an honor,” said Arzon. “Thanksgiving is a time to come together and reflect on all that we are thankful and grateful for – and I truly feel blessed to be a part of something as special as the Peloton community.”

In order to set the record, Peloton had to show that 5,000 live riders participated for at least 30 minutes. An official adjudicator from Guinness World Records was on-site and officially bestowed the title.

Founded in 2012, Peloton provides access to live and on-demand fitness group classes led by elite NYC instructors.
