Peloton Interactive hired Microsoft veteran Betsy Webb as vice president of Peloton Commercial, which supports the Precor fitness equipment subsidiary. Webb replaces Rob Barker, who left the company last week and will move to Portugal, according to the Pugent Sound Business Journal.

Barker spent 27 years at Precor, which was acquired by Peloton in April 2021 for $420 million. Barker was Precor’s CEO from April 2021 to February 2022 and Precor’s president from July 2013 to April 2021.

Webb worked at Microsoft for 18 years as a general manager of multiple sectors. Prior to joining Peloton, Webb founded consulting firm Betsy Webb Advisors and had served as vice president of Peloton Commercial since August.

The change comes as Pelton’s founder and CEO John Foley last week stepped down to become executive chairman and was replaced by former Netflix and Spotify executive Barry McCarthy. Peloton also announced plans to lay off 2,800 employees, or about 20 percent of its corporate workforce, in the restructuring.
