Patagonia is one of two businesses that will receive the first Lifetime Achievement Award from the nonprofit Sustainable Business Council.
The council, founded in 2005, provides professional networking, mentoring and educational forums to professionals in Southern California.
Winnetka, Ill.-based Earth Friendly Products also won the award.
“We are extremely excited to introduce this new annual event, to recognize the leading sustainable businesses and individuals in the Southern California area,” said Steve Glenn, chairman and co-founder of the Sustainable Business Council. “We are blessed to have an incredible group of honorees, sponsors and partners.”
The council will give out its Sustainable Business Awards on April 18 in Santa Monica.
