Pacific Sunwear total sales for the four weeks of fiscal April ending April 30, 2005 were $76.4 million, an increase of 3.5% over total sales of $73.8 million during the same period last year. Total Company same store sales decreased 6.4% during the same period. By concept, PacSun same store sales decreased 6.4% and d.e.m.o. same store sales decreased 6.4% compared to the same four week period last year.

Total sales for the first thirteen weeks of fiscal 2005 were $280.0 million, an increase of 14.1% over total sales of $245.5 million during the same period last year. Total Company same store sales increased 3.0% during the same period. By concept, PacSun same store sales increased 3.0% and d.e.m.o. same store sales increased 3.2% compared to the same thirteen week period last year.

Based on April sales results, the Company remains comfortable with its previous earnings guidance given on March 1, 2005 of $0.23 per diluted share, representing a 21% increase over the $0.19 per diluted share that the Company earned in the first quarter last year.
