Pacific Trail Inc. is continuing its global brand-building efforts through a new Japanese license agreement with Ingram Co., Ltd. As master licensee for the Pacific Trail brand in Japan, Ingram Co., Ltd. will manage and oversee the design, development and marketing of Pacific Trail outerwear and apparel for men and women that reflect the brand's image and position as an outdoor recreational lifestyle brand.

The men's Heritage collection, scheduled to launch in the Fall/Winter 2004 season, is a 21-piece offering including vintage-inspired outerwear, tops and bottoms. The women's collection is slated for a Fall/Winter 2005 introduction. The Heritage collection for men and women is targeted to be sold primarily through jeans/casual specialty stores.

“The Japanese market is a significant opportunity for us and continues to embrace an active, outdoor lifestyle,” said Gary Hansen, President of Pacific Trail. “We are ideally positioned to offer these consumers a recreational outdoor wear brand that is relevant for their lifestyle.”

According to Hansen, Ingram's proven expertise in growing businesses for a variety of brands, combined with the ability to carry rough Pacific Trail's outdoor recreational lifestyle brand position into the Japanese market-make them an ideal partner.

“This agreement allows Pacific Trail to firmly establish a brand presence in the Japanese market, and strengthens Pacific Trail's goal of becoming a global provider of authentic recreational outerwear,” noted Hansen.

Founded in 1992 and headquartered in Tokyo, Ingram Co., Ltd, is a licensing company that holds master licenses for BoeingR, DodgeR and UCLA.
