Pacific Sunwear of California Inc. reported that total sales for the four weeks of July of fiscal 2004 were $97.2 million, an increase of 16.1% over total sales of $83.7 million for the four weeks of July of fiscal 2003. Company same store sales increased 6.0% for the comparable four-week period ended July 31, 2004, on top of a 15.1% same store sales increase in July 2003. PacSun same store sales increased 6.1% and d.e.m.o. same store sales increased 4.7%.

Total sales for the second quarter of fiscal 2004 (13 weeks) were $274.8 million, an increase of 17.2% over total sales of $234.4 for the second quarter of fiscal 2003 (13 weeks). Company same store sales increased 6.8% in the second quarter of fiscal 2004 with PacSun same store sales up 7.2% and d.e.m.o. same store sales up 3.0%.

Total sales for the first half (26 weeks) of fiscal 2004 were $519.9 million, an increase of 20.2% over total sales of $432.7 million for the first half (26 weeks) of fiscal 2003. Company same store sales increased 9.5% for the first half of fiscal 2004 with PacSun same store sales up 10.1% and d.e.m.o. same store sales up 4.6%.
