Overload Golf has appointed Ken Kamada, a seasoned operating executive of several venture-backed startups and investors, to join Overload Golf to manage its BAR Fund, which invests in golf businesses and related technologies.
Kamada has almost two decades of investment and operating experience. After starting his career at Morgan Stanley, he started his own boutique wealth management firm, Kamada Investment Management, managing and advising assets for ultra-high net worth individuals and institutions. In parallel, Kamada has been the CFO of several venture-backed companies raising over $200M in venture capital from prominent firms like Kleiner Perkins Caufield Byers, Bessemer Ventures and KKR. Kamada brings a broad range of experience advising and investing in seed stage ventures to pre-IPO companies.
“In recent years, we have seen everything from smart wearable technology to artificial intelligence to augmented reality change how we live everyday. We are in the early stages of seeing these applications influence the golf industry-an industry which generates over $70B in revenue annually. I look forward to being a part of the Overload Golf team to help drive innovation and growth to the millions who play a round every day,” said Kamada.
“We are excited to have Ken on the team. He brings great knowledge and a unique perspective that the Golf Industry has seen very little of. With the BAR Fund we are sourcing investment opportunities and funding next generation golf technologies and helping to bring them to the industry, ” says Randall Henry, partner at Overload Golf.
