Outdoor Industry Association is asking its members to nominate candidates to serve on its board of directors beginning in August, when four members will reach their term limits.

Candidates must have executive leadership experience, be committed to the long-term success of the industry and have the time to dedicate to the work of the board.

“During the past 18 months, OIA’s board has invested significant time and energy in transforming how it operates, officials said. “A key change was reducing the board from 25 directors to 15, which has enabled us to enhance engagement and commitment and to be more nimble.”

The board is especially encouraging the nomination of women and other candidates that will provide diversity.

The board’s Nominating and Governance Committee will be accepting recommendations online through March 11. Click here to nominate.

OIA members can email questions regarding the process to OIA Chairman Gordon Seabury via OIA Executive Assistant Karen McNamee at kmcnamee@outdoorindustry.org.
