Outdoor Equipped, which operates outdoorequipped.com, plans to open its first store at 272 N. Front St. in downtown Wilmington, NC. in November.
The online retailer is remodeling a 3,200-square-foot space in a vacant building that once housed an Efirds department store and served as a filming location for the television programs Dawson’s Creek and One Tree Hill for 14 years. The building, which is owned by Self-Help Credit Union, has been vacant for a year.
The store will sell footwear,
clothing and other products from makers that include Adidas Outdoor,
Altra, Asics, Columbia and The North Face, as well as 2XU, Hurley, Helly
Hansen, Salomon and Kuhl.
OutdoorEquipped.com is one of several online stores operated by Mayo Internet Retail Services LLC that sell outdoor gear, footwear and jewelry.
