Otis Technology announced the appointment of Leonard Puzzuoli to the position of chief executive officer.
Puzzuoli succeeds Otis founder, President and CEO Doreen Garrett who founded the company in 1985.
Puzzuoli had served as Otis Chief Financial Officer at Otis since 2009.
“We are pleased and excited to have Len in this key leadership role,” said Garrett. “We welcome the strengths he brings in financial leadership, strategic planning, and positioning the company for continued growth.”
“I recognize the responsibilities and challenges ahead of us, and look forward to guiding Otis in our next phase of growth,” said Puzzuoli. “We are excited to continue to exceed our customers’ needs and expectations. I appreciate the confidence the Advisory Board has shown in me and the entire Otis team.”
In a related move, Otis Technology has promoted Harold Philbrick to the position of vice president of operations.
Philbrick is responsible for leading manufacturing, warehousing, quality assurance, and materials teams. He previously held the position of director of operations.
Additionally, James Brooker has assumed the role of vice president of engineering, research and development. He leads the R & D team in Otis’ Phoenix, NY based Engineering Center of Excellence.

Ms. Garrett will remain on the Otis Technology’s Advisory Board.
