Osprey Packs named former CamelBak President Layne Rigney as its new president, along with a host of other executive-level changes, two months after its longtime former president Tom Barney left the company.

The Cortez, CO-based outdoor pack and adventure-travel luggage company also appointed Jason Dunlap as vice president of finance and promoted Scott Pfotenhauer from a director to chairman of the board.

“These additions were instituted to solidify Osprey’s leadership team, allowing company Founder Mike Pfotenhauer to fully concentrate his talents and efforts on product design and innovation, as well as the strategic vision for the company,” officials said.

“This is an exciting time for Osprey,” said Mike Pfotenhauer, “Layne, Jason and Scott bring a tremendous amount of talent and deep industry knowledge to our company. As customer demand for Osprey packs is at an all time high, the fortification of our executive leadership team will allow us to continue to grow and manage the increasing demand for our product on the global stage.”
