Original Penguin by Munsingwear, a division of Perry Ellis International, launched its Spring 2023 Racquet and Paddle collections for men and women designed for performance, style and sustainability.
“The new Original Penguin Racquet and Paddle collections highlight the importance we place on performance for today’s athlete,” stated Oscar Feldenkreis, CEO, Perry Ellis International. “Our design team has done a great job engineering technically superior products emphasizing function, performance fabrics with sustainability and on-trend styles to help players feel confident, stylish and comfortable so they can perform their best.”
The design inspiration for the S23 collection fuses retro heritage styling with a modern “original” twist. Tennis whites create a bold statement when paired with bold prints. Fabrics include recycled yarns with elastane blends, including Repreve, 4-way stretch, lightweight blends, and moisture-wicking with UPF sun protection.
Key pieces in the 2023 men’s collection include Performance Layered Ball Print Henley, a color-blocked print Crew, and a quarter-zip Heritage Wind Jacket.
