Original Penguin Golf brand ambassador Cameron Smith won the 2021 Zurich Classic of New Orleans with partner Marc Leishman for his third PGA Tour victory.
“We congratulate Cameron for sinking the winning putt and another thrilling playoff victory,” said Oscar Feldenkreis, President and CEO, Perry Ellis International. “With three victories now on Tour, all of them in playoffs, Cameron has solidified his position as an international star and one who rises to the occasion when the pressure is the greatest. We are proud to have Cameron as an Original Penguin brand ambassador.”
“It was a really cool week, and we played some really solid golf,” stated Smith. “The back nine was tough, but we hung in there and got it done.” With the win, Smith, a key member of past International Presidents Cup teams, propels up to third in the FedExCup standings, secures his TOUR card thru the 2022/23 season, earns a berth in the 2021 PGA Championship and a spot in the 2022 Sentry Tournament of Champions, while placing himself in a good position for Olympic qualification. “I definitely want to be there in Japan and want to wear the green and gold as much as I can,” added Smith.
Smth wore the brand’s Spring 2021 collection during the tournament featuring its Re-Originals eco-friendly polos made with 30 percent recycled polyester.
