Oliberte Limited, the producer of premium footwear made in Africa, has named Nick Robinson its new U.S. wholesale manager responsible for
all wholesale and retail based business. Robinson comes to Oliberté
with over 12 years of footwear sales experience working with retailers
in all distribution channels.
Tal Dehtiar, founder and owner of Oliberte, said, Nick has the
relationships needed and the experience to continue to tell our story
and take Oliberté to the next level. His expertise in footwear and in
the outdoor market will help in creating new opportunities and expanding
our distribution, commented Dehtiar. He continued, The more shoes we
sell globally, the more skilled jobs the brand creates across Africa.
Additionally,
Oliberté has named a new independent sales team of veteran footwear
professionals to help drive the Oliberté business in the US. The sales
team includes:
Dom Schwartz and Fred Riely of the Blue Sky Group (CA,NV, HI),
John Campbell (CO, UT, WY, NM,TX),
Marc Sandford (NJ, PA, MD, DE, DC, Northern VA),
Lewis Ports of Super Heros Agency (NY) and
Dan Mitchell (NH, MA, ME, VT, RI, CT).

Robinson, joined by his
counterpart in Canada, Stuart Sugar, Canadian Wholesale Manager, and his
sales team, will continue to grow the business in North America,
expanding the distribution by focusing on the best footwear and outdoor
retailers.
Additionally, the brand recently hired Sue Killoran,
owner of Killoran Communications to spearhead Olibertés public
relations efforts. Nate Poekert, owner of The Maverick Agency,
continues to focus on brand positioning and marketing. Oliberté company
headquarters and customer service are located in Oakville, Canada with
warehousing in Mississauga, ON and in Buffalo, NY. European
distribution is out of
Oliberté was founded in 2009, by Tal Dehtiar with the concept of creating sustainable jobs in Africa building rugged casual footwear and goods. Oliberté opened its own ethically responsible factory in August 2012 in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. The footwear is handmade using natural rubber outsoles, hand picked natural leather and is made using an average of 1,000 stitches.
