Outdoor Industry Association is soliciting candidates to fill the open seats on the Board of Directors and represent the interests of the OIA membership. OIA Nominations Committee is now accepting Board nominations. OIA seeks to maintain a strong, balanced, strategic-thinking Board that accurately represents the varied companies found in the outdoor industry. The Nominations Committee, made up of current OIA Board Members, is charged with presenting a slate of nominees to be voted upon by the membership. The recruitment process will last until June 13, 2007.
Currently OIA is focusing on finding new board members who are Manufacturers (all sizes and channels), Specialty Outdoor & Paddle Retailers, Sportsman or Sporting Goods Retailers and Independent Sales Reps. In addition, OIA is interested in finding female and/or minority members or board members with skill sets and familiarity in finance, action sports and new emerging markets.
