Oboz Footwear’s marketing team has grown with the addition of Judd Salvas in the newly created position of marketing manager. Salvas started his new job in March.
“Salvas has a rich, unique and diverse experience base,” said Christian Mason, vice president of sales and marketing for Oboz. “His marketing savvy and time on the ground as a sales rep gives him a deep understanding of what success looks like for both sales and brand communications.”
Salvas brings a broad resume of qualifications to the job with Oboz, including operations, management, sales, marketing, graphic design, both in the outdoor industry as well as other sectors.
Salvas was previously a sales representative with Utah-based KNS Reps, where he gained experience in footwear, including selling and facilitating retail marketing campaigns. The agency serves brands across the outdoor and skiing markets to specialty outdoors and key accounts throughout Utah and Wyoming.
Since November 2006, in addition to his work as a sales rep, Salvas owned and was the creative director of Batch 171, a consulting business that has fostered the strategic and tactical marketing plans for Farm to Feet, Flylow, Deuter and other brands.
Earlier in his career, as an art director and designer, Salvas worked with Denver-based Cultivator Advertising and Design, which is Oboz’ current creative agency of record. Additionally, Salvas was employed with Kelty and other agencies.
