Polarpak has partnered Oakley, Inc. in focusing on the mountain bike/outdoor pack category. Oakley will utilize Polarpak's MOFLOW  pressurized bladder system in its Oakley Tool Pouch 2.0. The packs themselves will be carry the Oakley brand, but will be co-branded MOFLOW on both the hydration pouch and on hangtags.


Jeff Skillern, president of Polarpak, told SportsOneSource that “We’ve been approached by several different companies that are interested in our technologies.  I support exclusive Co-branded license agreements for all applicable industries but will be very selective on brands we do business with and how our products are distributed.”

 

Skillern also noted that Oakley has a 1 year exclusive in the bicycle industry for 2008 and that he does not see any problems selling both bladder systems and full hydration pouches: “It will be very clear that we are two separate entities.  Our focus is to build the Polarpak brand name and continue developing innovative products for a wide variety of markets and customers.”
