The NSGA has put together an outstanding footwear panel this year for the 40th Annual NSGA Management Conference, which will be held May 16-19, 2004, at the Hilton Head Marriott Beach & Golf Resort in Hilton Head Island, S.C.
Marshal Cohen, Co-President of NPD Fashionworld(sm), will present the latest athletic footwear trends reported by The NPD Group as a foundation for discussion, and leading retailers will compare and contrast these projections as they pertain to their own businesses.
Panelists are Jim Chick, President & CEO, Chick's Sporting Goods; Deborah
Ferree, Executive Vice President/Chief Merchandising Officer, DSW; Shawn
Neville, President & CEO, Footstar Athletic; Jeff Phillips, Director of
Marketing & Business Development, Fleet Feet, Inc.; and Joe Wood, President,
Famous Footwear.
Cohen is a popular and informative speaker. At the 2003 Conference, he
shared information and projected trends regarding the changing face of the
sporting goods consumer. It was so well received, many 2003 attendees asked
NSGA to bring him back again. The session is sponsored by The NPD Group,
Inc.
“Judging by the record attendance in 2003, it would be wise to block off
