According to Golf Datatech, golf rounds played in the US were up 1.7 percent in November 2011 compared to November 2010. Public access play was up 1.4 percent for the month and private course activity was up 2.4 percent.
 
A total of 3895 courses are represented in this report.

The strongest gain was seen in the New England region, up 28.2 percent; followed by Mid Atlantic, 14.5 percent, Pacific, 5.1 percent; and South Atlantic, 2.0 percent. Declines in rounds played were seen in Mountain, down 2.4 percent; West North Central, 3.7 percent; East North Central, 5.8 percent; and South Central, 2.3 percent.

Year-to-date rounds are down 3.5 percent.
