Northwave North America has hired Brent Turner as their new CEO. Brent brings over 15 years of experience in the snowboarding industry to the table, most recently as Vice President and General Manager of K2 and Ride Snowboards.
“I'm really happy to be part of the Northwave team,” says Brent. “We've got great category specific brands in Northwave, Drake, and Bakoda and there is a fantastic group of people here that live and breathe our business and snowboarding. Finally, we think our future is snowboarding, so we focus all our efforts on making the best products we can for our retailer their customers.”
The announcement was made by Gianni Piva, President of Piva Groups. “We are very happy to have Brent join our team in the Seattle office and look to his past experience in continuing our strong position in the North American market,” said Piva.
Northwave North America has revamped their Sales Management Structure to help support the growth of Northwave Snowboard Boots, Drake Snowboard Bindings, and Bakoda Design Logic. The new structure was put in place following the recent hire of new NNA CEO Brent Turner.
Dan Stanilonis and Jered Gallegos will fill the two new positions that make up the new structure. Gallegos is the new Western US Sales Manager while Stanilonis will oversee the Eastern US and continue his responsibilities as Canadian Sales Manager. Both Gallegos and Stanilonis come from Northwaves Customer Service department.
“This new position is a really good opportunity to continue working with one of the best companies and sales crews around,” says Gallegos who has been with the company for over three years. “I am really looking forward to strengthening the relationships with our retailers and our reps into the future.” Before coming to NNA, Gallegos managed the snowboard shop Shred Shed in his native Colorado.
Since arriving in the Northwest from his homestate of Vermont, Stanilonis has worked Customer Service and Warranty for Ride Snowboards and spent the last seven years at NNA doing everything from Sales to Customer Service to completely running Northwave Canada for the last three years.
“With these new responsibilities, I look forward to working with the entire team and doing our best in keeping the brands moving in positive directions and providing programs and service that benefit our dealers,” says Stanilonis.
