Nordstrom reported a 5.3 percent increase in same-store sales for the four-week period ended May 26, 2012 compared with the four-week period ended May 28, 2011. Preliminary total retail sales of $870 million for May 2012 increased 9.3 percent compared with total retail sales of $796 million for the same period in fiscal 2011.
Year-to-date same-store sales increased 7.7 percent compared with the same period in fiscal 2011. Preliminary year-to-date total retail sales of $3.40 billion increased 12.6 percent compared with total retail sales of $3.02 billion for the same period in fiscal 2011.
