Nordstrom, Inc. plans to open a new Nordstrom Rack in Warwick, R.I., located just outside of Providence. The new 37,360 square-foot store is scheduled to open during fall 2012 in a newly developed wing at Warwick Mall.
The new Nordstrom Rack will be part of a strong retail mix including Macy's, JC Penney, Target, OFF Broadway Shoes, Old Navy, Jordan's Furniture and Sports Authority. Warwick Mall, LLC is the owner and manager of the center.
This will be the first Nordstrom Rack in Rhode Island. In addition, the retailer operates a full-line Nordstrom store at Providence Place in downtown Providence, just eight miles north of the new Rack location.
“We've been serving customers in Rhode Island for over a decade at our Providence Place full-line store and we're thrilled to have the opportunity to better serve them with a Nordstrom Rack,” said Geevy Thomas, president of Nordstrom Rack. “We're looking forward to next fall when we can open our doors and start helping more customers.”
