Nike is expected to replace the large Barnes & Noble store on M Street in Georgetown, according to a Vornado, the real estate developer.
The store at 3040 M St. NW in a large brick building at the corner of Thomas Jefferson Street closed at the end of December.
According to a report in The Washington Post, there are no Nike or Niketown stores in D.C., Maryland or Virginia, although Nike has factory stores in Leesburg, in Anne Arundel County and Woodbridge.
