Nike Inc. said it continues to support Lance Armstrong after the cyclist was stripped of his seven Tour de France titles Thursday. Armstrong said he is ending his fight against doping charges. Armstrong continues to maintain his innocence.
“Lance has stated his innocence and has been unwavering on this position,” Nike said Thursday in a statement. “Nike plans to continue to support Lance and the Lance Armstrong Foundation, a foundation that Lance created to serve cancer survivors.”
Armstrong has long been an Nike endorser.
