Nike Inc released its latest Impact Report covering its fiscal year 2019. The report details the progress the company is making to reach its diversity & inclusion, community and sustainability targets for 2020.
Highlights of the report include:
- Nike increased vice president (VP)-level representation of women globally to 39 percent, up by 3 percentage points from 2018, and increased VP-level representation of U.S. underrepresented groups to 21 percent, up by 2 percentage points.
- Through Made to Play, Nike helped get more than 17 million kids moving with community partners. With a quality coach often encouraging kids to embrace sports, Nike helped train nearly 100,000 coaches.
- Nike is on track to reach its goal of using 100 percent renewable energy in owned or operated facilities globally by 2025. In North America, Nike is now powering its owned or operated facilities with 100 percent renewable energy.
- In 2019, 45 factories in 11 countries participated in the Nike Engagement and Wellbeing survey, reaching over 270,000 people. The results help Nike suppliers continue to evolve their factories in ways that improve their employees’ experience.
