As it typically tends to do, Nike, Inc. has promoted several members of its ranks to VP status. In total, four team members have been promoted with focuses ranging from marketing to finance.
The company named Dermott Cleary as vice president of sport culture and category marketing. Cleary brings nearly 12 years of marketing experience at Nike to the sport culture and category marketing role, having started his career with the company as UK marketing director.
In addition, Diana Crist is now global apparel vice president of merchandising operations. As global apparel vice president for merchandising operations, Crist leads cross-region collaboration in product alignment and productivity. Crist joined Nike in 1990 and has held a number of positions in equipment, soccer, and apparel.
Larry Harper will become vice president of U.S. geographical business units, bringing more than 25 years of sales experience to the position. He joined Nike in 1999 and has held various roles at the company, including national sales manager and general manager for Chicago and Los Angeles.
Bob Woodruff was elevated to vice president and treasurer, leading the treasury and risk management teams. He joined Nike in 1996 as director of global cash and banking, following finance positions at RJR Nabisco, The Pittston Company, Merrill Lynch, and Citibank.
