The Footwear Distributors and Retailers of America (FDRA) has added Stephanie Ward to the association as its director of marketing and communications. Ms. Ward has previously served in similar capacities at the America Association for Clinical Chemistry, the National Science Teachers Association and the National Wildlife Federation.

“FDRA is committed to advocating its members interests, especially in free trade, and keeping its members well informed on all important issues that advance their commercial interests” said Peter T. Mangione, FDRA president. “Stephanie Ward brings to the association an outstanding background in engaging and effective communications, as well as top credentials for the promotion of the FDRA brand. She will oversee the presentation of the FDRA message and of its events.” he concluded.

FDRA accounts for some 80% of all footwear sales in the U.S., representing the industry’s leading retailers, brands and buying agents. Its services include lobbying and advocacy for industry causes, educational programs and regular update publications.
