According to the National Golf Foundation, same-store rounds played in the U.S. increased 3.6% for the month of February over the same month last year. The results reflect data taken from operators at 1,899 golf facilities. The February result brings the year-to-date total to an increase of 15.4% over the same period last year after a positive increase in rounds played in January. Rounds played more than doubled in the Northeast for the month and year-to-date periods, while in the Midwest, rounds played were up in the high-twenties. The Northwest saw the only major decline for the period, down 33% for the month and 28% for the year-to-date. The Northwest region is the only one down for the year-to-date.
